Enhancing Academic Writing Vocabulary Use through Direct Corpus Consultation: Saudi English Majors’ Perceptions and Experiences

Using corpora as a learning tool in Second Language writing has gained popularity recently. The present study aimed to explore how Saudi EFL students perceive and engage with direct corpus consultation activities academic an effective method of overcoming their vocabulary errors. Hopefully, this will provide insights into the issue raising awareness among both university teachers about benefits writing, well highlighting potential challenges might face. Two specific questions were addressed study: How do for errors writing? What are that encounter when they use consultation? Based on convenience sampling, total 32 female majoring English participated study. employed mixed-method approach increase credibility results. data collected from structured questionnaire based 6-point Likert scale semi-structured interviews. used was Corpus Contemporary American English. findings quantitative qualitative analysis revealed participants positive using improve writing. In addition, some associated outlined findings. concluded several recommendations future research pedagogical implications.
